The cottage is situated two miles from the village of Knocknagree. It is convenient to Kerry Airport, the Swansea to Cork Ferry and Cork Airport. With its central location it is an ideal base to explore the Ring of Kerry, Blarney, Kenmare, Ring of Beara, and West Cork. Further afield are the Dingle Peninsula and Slea head both of which are within distance for day trips.

The Area
The local area is famous for its traditional music sessions. Music sessions are regularly held in most Killarney pubs, the Fairfield Tavern Knocknagree, Bob’s Bar Ballydesmond and Scullys Bar Newmarket. Knocknagree has a selection of rural, friendly pubs.
Leisure Pursuits
Fishing-The River Blackwater is only a few miles away, with the lesser known but popular river Araglen just 1 mile away. Detailed information regarding fishing amenities can be obtained on arrival.
Walking is popular locally and Killarney National Park has splendid walks with breathtaking scenery.
