Nora’s Cottage, located on the Cork/Kerry border lies in the heart of Sliabh Luachra, just 18 miles from Killarney. It provides an ideal base from which to tour the scenic southwest region of Ireland.
The cottage is over 100 years old, yet despite refurbishment maintains its original character. It has been operating as a tourist cottage since 1993. The house has 3 bedrooms, living room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, with both bath and shower. It has dual central heating oil and solid fuel. A central feature of the house is the stone fireplace in the living room. The cottage commands splendid views of the Kerry /Cork mountain range and is an ideal setting for relaxing on the garden picnic bench with the mountain views in the background. A selection of approx 50 books is available to booklovers, who may enjoy a read during their holiday.
The house is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness. It sleeps 4 persons and is available to rent all year on a short term (weekly from Saturday to Saturday) or longer term basis. All bed linen is provided, as is rubbish disposal. Electricity, other than the immersion, is included an initial fuel supply is included in the rent as is 2 hours per day heating.
